Aseem is a Manager with Alvarez & Marsal in New York. His expertise spans talent management, HR technology implementation, compensation design, and competency-based assessments, with a focus on driving business outcomes through enhanced workforce strategies.
With over 10 years of experience, Mr. Kulkarni has worked with private, public, and nonprofit sector clients across various industries, including consumer/business to business technology, pharmaceutical, publishing/media, international development, transportation, healthcare, retail, energy, and manufacturing.
Recently, Aseem partnered with senior leaders at a major natural gas compression services provider to revamp their performance management and talent enablement frameworks. He spearheaded efforts to streamline job descriptions, design a new job architecture, and improve alignment between performance goals and business results. His work enabled clearer role definitions and enhanced accountability across the enterprise.
Aseem also advised the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s HR leadership on improving their talent acquisition and employee value proposition strategies. He directed initiatives to reduce time-to-hire by streamlining internal processes and implementing digital talent acquisition platforms that increased transparency and efficiency.
Before joining A&M, Aseem Kulkarni spent a year with PA Consulting as a People and Change Consultant, where he led key initiatives for Fortune 100 clients. He successfully managed a training workstream for a global pharmaceutical company, ensuring the alignment of talent development with business objectives.
Additionally, Aseem leveraged his expertise in the Indian market to provide strategic insights that drove growth and market share for a streaming music service, demonstrating his ability to guide cross-functional teams in diverse industries.During his 3-year tenure at IBM as an internal HR Consultant, Aseem played a leadership role in advancing enterprise-wide digitization and automation efforts. He led the implementation of AI-powered tools for performance management and compensation, which were deployed across Fortune 100 companies. Aseem also advised senior HR leaders on building apprenticeship, returnship, and skills-based hiring frameworks, ensuring the development of future talent pipelines and fostering organizational agility.
Mr. Kulkarni earned an MBA and MA in International Relations from Boston University and a BA from the University of Edinburgh. He holds certifications in the Fundamentals of EU MDR and IVDR from Educo Life Sciences and is a certified SAFe Agilist and OneTrust Privacy Professional. He is also a certified Change Management Specialist and an IT Ethics Associate from the Management & Strategy Institute.
