Part-Time Health Sector MBA
Associate Director of Program Management, Astria Therapeutics, Inc.
“The caliber of my peers often exceeds my expectations and pushes me to do better, whether it’s coursework or just trying new things. I didn’t expect to meet people I now consider my closest friends.”
Diverse. Humble. Inspiring. These are the words Alex DelGiorno uses to describe his Questrom community.
“The caliber of my peers often exceeds my expectations and pushes me to do better, whether it’s coursework or just trying new things,” says Alex. “And the professors truly bring a rich portfolio of experiences to the classroom. I didn’t expect to meet people I now consider my closest friends.”
Alex is pursuing his Health Sector MBA with a focus in strategy and entrepreneurship while working full time in a consulting role in the life sciences at Integrated Project Management in Boston. But his involvement outside of the classroom has delivered bonuses he didn’t expect.
“Don’t look at this as a checkbox in your development plan,” says Alex. “Really take the time to engage with peers, speak with faculty, and attend events or join clubs. These few years will be demanding, without a doubt. However, you will regret not taking the opportunity to build your knowledge and network while you are here.”
On the Questrom Graduate Council, Alex is Vice President of PEMBA Relations. But that’s not all. He’s also an admissions ambassador and mentor, served on Dean Bickart’s Questrom MBA Sounding Board, placed in the finals with his team at the annual PEMBA Case Competition, and participated in Link Day 2019, where he and his team supported the National Association of Social Workers in a digital expansion and revenue diversification strategy effort.
Alex is such a fan of the Questrom community, he introduced his husband to his friends and professors. His husband liked it so much that he started his Professional Evening Health Sector MBA at Questrom this past fall. Twin Terriers!
“DON’T LOOK AT THIS AS A CHECKBOX IN YOUR DEVELOPMENT PLAN. REALLY TAKE THE TIME TO ENGAGE WITH PEERS, SPEAK WITH FACULTY, AND ATTEND EVENTS OR JOIN CLUBS.”
