CLUBS & Events

With club-sponsored conferences, guest speakers, case competitions, and special events, there are countless opportunities for hands-on learning and networking. Professional Evening MBA students have plenty of options when it comes to getting involved.

Case Competitions

We believe practice makes perfect, so we invite you to showcase your skills and dive into real business scenarios.  We start by offering a case competition for part-time students during Launch.  After that, many part-time students join a team and compete against students from other schools.  In addition, at Questrom, we run our own PEMBA Case Competition.  Ten teams of students compete over a two-day period for a live client. May the best team win!

Link Day

Link Day is a Questrom tradition everyone looks forward to, our way of connecting with the Greater Boston community. It’s a one-day consulting event that matches mission-driven organizations with teams of full-time and part-time Questrom MBA students and faculty to find solutions for specific business problems. You get hands-on practice. Organizations get new solutions and ideas. That’s what we call win-win!

Student-led Treks

Adventure awaits! Join a team of students to design your own trek or hop on a trip that’s already planned. Instead of class deliverables, you’ll focus on a concept, place, or project you’ll invent yourself. The location is up to you! Treks have gone to Guatemala to assist budding entrepreneurs and Israel to focus on innovation.

Speaker and Wine Series

Join your fellow part-time students to engage with top business leaders (often alumni), and if you’re inclined, enjoy a glass of wine with the group before or after the presentation.

Hockey Night

Cheer on the BU Terriers with fellow part-time students at a reception at the Agganis Center.

Since 2004, the Terriers have averaged nearly six conference titles per year, made a combined 59 team appearances in NCAA Championships, raised the Beanpot five times and also claimed their fifth national championship.

Clubs & Organizations

We’ve got over 25 different student clubs and organizations—and 60% of graduate students get involved. Student-run organizations and events are important resources for your career launch and professional development. Conferences, guest speakers, and special events offer countless opportunities for hands-on learning and networking.

Student Clubs

Student-run clubs, organizations, and events can be important resources for your career launch and professional development. Guest speaker events, treks to employer sites, service projects, and case competitions are all avenues to networking and building a strong resume.

Meet ouR students

Professional Evening MBA students have a lot going on, but that doesn’t mean they’ve always got their noses in a laptop. The part-time community is a tight group that makes time to network, socialize, and connect. Sometimes they just chill with friends over pizza or pop over to Fenway for a Red Sox game. Don’t be surprised if your classmates feel more like family. Your professors more like mentors. That’s Questrom!

But don’t just take our word for it—chat with one of our Professional Evening MBA Admissions Ambassadors. They’ll give you the insider’s take on what being a part-time MBA student at Questrom is really like.

For Elizabeth Anderson ’23, the community and faculty are what made the program fantastic.

The Part Time MBA faculty made it easy to leave stress at the classroom door, says Allison Walsh ’23.
Katie Nolan ’23 works in biotech and calls out Professor Ned Rimer’s Health Sector Management courses.
