Two Questrom Students Recognized As 2023’s 100 Best And Brightest Business Majors By Poets & Quants
April 4, 2023
We’re proud to announce that Archi Das, Questrom class of ‘23, and Mayowa Hassan, Questrom class of ‘23, have been named two of 2023’s Best & Brightest Business Majors by Poets and Quants. Both recipients have demonstrated their dedication through extracurriculars, community work, and leadership roles during their time at Questrom, and are unquestionably deserving of this recognition.
Mayowa Hassan, born in Lagos, Nigeria, and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, spent time as a Direct Care relief worker at the Women’s Lunch Place, a “daytime shelter and advocacy center in Boston dedicated to helping women experiencing homelessness, hunger, and poverty.” Hassan was Beta Gamma Sigma invitee, restricted to the top 10% of undergrads at the world’s most prestigious, AACSB-accredited business schools. When asked what advice she would give to a student looking to major in a business-related field she says, “Do not engage in the cut-throat nature that is stereotypical of business schools. In my opinion, you gain more from the experience by being collaborative and kind to others.”

Archi Das, from Queens, New York, is a first-generation college student who worked heavily in the Questrom Undergraduate Development Center helping students with academic and career dilemmas. Das also led the Questrom Nu Chapter Consulting Group and held the Scholarship Director role for the business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi. When asked what surprised her the most about majoring in business she says, “Business is a very creative field. There were many times throughout my classes when I have been challenged to think outside of the box and create new, innovative business ideas or solutions. Having outside knowledge or other interests helps a lot when it comes to providing diverse perspectives on teams.”
The 2023 slate of Questrom nominees was the most competitive we have seen since the beginning of this award. To read more about Mayowa, or Archi, visit their respective Poets & Quants articles. We’re honored to have them as a part of the Questrom community, and we offer them our “warmest congratulations on this amazing national recognition and honor! You embody the spirit of Questrom and make us all so very proud to be connected with you. Thanks for letting us bask in your reflected glory,” says Dean Susan Fournier.
