Questrom is Reengineering the Undergraduate Program

February 27, 2025

Involving over 70 faculty and staff, the Questrom Undergraduate program redesign enhances real-world skills, offers earlier internship opportunities, and strengthens critical thinking. The changes modernize course sequencing, increase rigor, and better align the curriculum with employer needs. Launching in fall 2025, the new structure—shaped by alumni and employer feedback—features a revamped Introduction to Business, Markets & Society course.

Led by Associate Dean Jeffrey Furman, Senior Associate Dean of Programs Barb Bickart, and Senior Associate Dean of Faculty Anita Carson, the redesign also emphasizes business as a force for social impact.“The theme of the course is business as a force for good, and it was designed as part of a student quest to understand competition, markets and the role of business, all with the newly created Ravi K. Mehrotra Institute for Business, Markets, and Society in mind. The redesign ended up with higher ratings than the earlier spring version,” Furman adds.
