Jack Wang & Joanne Charles: 2025 Best & Brightest Business Majors, Poets & Quants

April 3, 2025

Questrom Seniors Jack Wang and Joanne Charles were named Poets and Quants Best & Business Majors of 2025. These two deserving students have made the most of their time in Questrom’s undergraduate program through student organization leadership positions, multiple case competitions, and internships. They nourished their passions and made meaningful connections and memories with the Questrom and BU community.

Jack Wang (Questrom’25) says “early on, I was uncertain about my path. By surrounding myself with people who genuinely care and offer valuable advice, I was able to carve out a much clearer direction…” As Vice President of the BU Consulting Group, Jack led the casing program and helped guide analysts through an arduous recruitment process. He is also a teaching assistant, involved in 180 Degrees Consulting, Venture Capital Club, won first place in the State Street Distressed Investing Competition, and is gearing up for his first fight after training hard in Muay Thai, Kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu, among so many other involvements outlned in more detail on the Poets & Quants website.

Joanne Charles (Questrom ’25) is a dedicated mentor and leader in the Ascend Fellowship, where she encourages her mentees to “always put yourself out there—whether in networking or in class. You never know what opportunity might come your way.” Joanne has held multiple e-board positions, including Vice President of the Black Business Student Association, and serves as a teaching assistant—all while maintaining her place on the Dean’s List. She plans to attend graduate school and pursue a career in government. Learn more about Joanne’s story in our spotlight article here and in her Poets & Quants article.

Congratulations to Jack Wang and Joanne Charles on being named to Poets & Quants’ Best & Brightest Business Majors of 2025! As they prepare to graduate this May, we’re cheering them on as they turn their dreams into reality.
