Alumna Awarded BU’s 2023 Distinguished Young Alumni Award

Daniella Pierson’17 was awarded BU’s 2023 Distinguished Young Alumni Award. She is the co-founder of Wondermind, a mental fitness company she started with Selena Gomez and Mandy Teefey and CEO of The Newsette.

Cannabis Start-Up Entrepreneur Wins $10,000

An app that helps cannabis users find smoking buddies ― JoinME ― co-founded by Marco Rotella’22, won the $10,000 grand prize at the 2023 Cannabis Start-Up Competition hosted by Innovate@BU and Green Lion Partners.

Helena Jennifer Afordoany’23 & Alexa Bragg’23 were recognized by Poets & Quants for their contributions to their program by establishing an influence amongst their peers and setting the bar higher for fellow young professionals.

In 2018 Susan Fournier, Allen Questrom Professor and Dean, was announced as the first academic dean in 40 years and first woman to become dean at Questrom School of Business. Commencing her academic journey with a B.S.B.A. in marketing from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, she furthered her education with an M.S. in marketing from Pennsylvania State University and a Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Florida. Before joining BU in 2005, Dean Fournier gained substantial experience in marketing as a Brand Marketing Consultant, Principal and Co-President at Western Horizons Marketing Research, Research Manager at Polaroid Corporation, Project Director at Yankelovich Clancy Shulman, and Vice President, Associate Research Director at Young and Rubicam. She has shared her wealth of knowledge by teaching marketing at esteemed institutions such as Universite Grenoble Alpes, Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and over a decade at Harvard Business School. This unique blend of practical experience and academic leadership highlights Dean Fournier’s multifaceted contributions to academia.

BU place top 4 in Cornell’s Stock Competition

HAPPENING ON CAMPUS

The recently introduced Questrom Day of Service was expanded to encompass a period of 5 Days of Service during the recent Veterans Day week. All Questrom community members signed up to volunteer in the Greater Boston Area. 

“The Questrom Day of Service is a landmark event at the Questrom School of Business. It is a unique day that gives an individual the opportunity to serve the society, more importantly give back to the society and world at large.”
