Who They Are
Now in its second century, Questrom has always been on the cutting-edge of business, and remains committed to successfully preparing the next generation of leaders. The Dean’s Advisory Board (DAB) is critical to this effort. DAB members assist and advise Questrom’s senior leadership on matters of strategic importance. The DAB is comprised of distinguished alumni who have demonstrated leadership in their chosen field, have a commitment to the School, and have a strong interest in education. These individuals possess knowledge and wisdom, resources, and contacts that will help Questrom meet its objectives and achieve its vision to create value for the world. We are extremely fortunate to be able to engage their wisdom, experience, and support.
What They Do
Strategy: DAB members provide craft and review Questrom’s strategic plan in support of the School’s vision. They serve as a sounding board for the dean and senior leadership on strategic matters. Additionally, they review, evaluate, and provide insight on initiatives to improve academic programs, research, operations, alumni relations, student relations, corporate relations, fundraising, and positioning of Questrom.
Real-world insights: In order for Questrom to incorporate practical and current issues into its curriculum as they emerge, DAB members provide an outside perspective, helping to guide identification of best practices and keeping the School aware of timely trends, changes, and developments in the real world. They also offer insight on the skills and education required for business school graduates to meet the needs of the business community.
Resource support: The DAB supports Questrom through individual philanthropy and helps to solicit companies and donors for funding and sponsorships.
Advocacy: The DAB helps bridge and foster relationships and connections with alumni, as well as student communities, corporations, and foundations by advocating on behalf of Questrom through personal involvement.
