1913
The Boston University College of Business Administration was founded in 1913 by Dean Everett W. Lord. In the 1970s, it became the School of Management.
In 2015, Allen Questrom (Questrom ’64, Hon. ’15) and his wife Kelli (Hon. ’15) made a significant gift that has given us our name and supported our revolutionary growth.

Global@Questrom
Twenty years ago, working internationally was primarily limited to a subset of graduates seeking highly specialized roles within large multinational companies. Today, all graduates need the ability to work with colleagues, suppliers, and customers from diverse backgrounds and manage their work in light of global trends, events, and realities.
We strive to establish Questrom as a leading institution that empowers students to thrive in the global business landscape. This requires global capacities and cultural competencies. Our goal is to mold future leaders who are adept at understanding and navigating the intricacies of different cultures, markets, and business practices.
Day 1 Ready
Undergraduate business education hasn’t changed in over 60 years. We are undergoing a major redesign of our program, an initiative called Day One Ready. By reverse engineering with employers, alumni, and industry leaders, we are taking bold steps to develop a program that truly prepares our students for the world of work today and in the future.
