Campus Building Hours

From Dr. Jean Morrison, University Provost and Chief Academic Officer
and Gary Nicksa, Senior Vice President for Operations

On Monday, August 31, all Charles River, Fenway, and Medical Campus buildings will be open for the academic year. Academic, research, and office buildings not previously reopened will return to their regular, pre-COVID opening and closing schedules.

At this time we will not be requiring individuals to show their daily Healthway attestation badge when they enter a building. Badges are required to be shown in specific situations, such as dining halls and the FitRec Center, where BU IDs have previously been required. Faculty and staff may choose to ask students to display a green badge before entering a classroom or office, and the Dean of Students Office will be actively monitoring student compliance on an ongoing basis.

If you have a question about a specific building, please contact the building coordinator. A list of coordinators can be found on the Facilities website.

We want to give special thanks to all of you for working so hard over the last few months to help ensure the safe reopening of our campuses to residential, in-person learning. Because of your collaboration, your attention to detail, and your commitment to the health and security of our community, we have absolute confidence in your ability to make fall 2020 a very successful semester.
