In the 2025–26 academic year, the Office of the Provost partnered with schools and colleges to clarify each unit’s distinctive strengths while aligning with the University’s long-term priorities. The process identified opportunities for investment, refinement, collaboration, and sustainable finances to position every school and college for future success.
A Collaborative Approach
The process began with a meeting to clarify priorities, followed by a review of relevant data. Through collaborative discussion, findings were refined, themes identified, and priorities developed.
The process concluded with the articulation of a clear, forward-looking strategy that reflects each school or college’s distinctive mission while advancing University-wide goals.
Grounded in Data, Focused on the Future
Each school and college undertook a comprehensive review of its academic portfolio, student experience, faculty and staff contributions, financial sustainability, and use of space and resources. This review considered enrollment trends, program demand, student outcomes, scholarly impact, and overall resource alignment.
Examined together, these dimensions ensure that future priorities are evidence-based, responsive to emerging needs, and aligned with long-term institutional strength.
