User Experience at BU Libraries
BU Libraries’ Library Technology & Discovery Services team leads user experience (UX) activities for the libraries’ websites and discovery systems. Staring in 2024, we are embarking on a full website redesign project with the Marketing & Communications team at BU. In support of this and continuous improvement of our services, we are conducting regular UX research activities focused on library help services, discovery and access to resources.
Current Opportunities
We are always researching and evaluating library experiences, both online and in-person. Check back later in fall 2024 semester for more ways to get involved!
On-Site Schedule
We pop up in our libraries several times each semester. Check back later in fall 2024 semester for our next planned session.
Sign up for the UX Participant Pool
The Library Technology & Discovery Services team at Boston University Libraries maintains an opt-in email list of people willing to participate in user experience (UX) studies. If you are affiliated with Boston University, you can voluntarily join the participant pool to become an essential part of our user-centered research.
When you join, we will notify you of new opportunities to provide feedback, test new designs, and receive incentives for participation. We encourage users at all levels of ability and familiarity with the library to sign up. Opt out at any time by contacting us at libux@bu.edu.
