Biography
Mark Fong is a Postgraduate Fellow at Boston University School of Law, where he focuses on supporting students in bar exam preparation and academic success. In this role, Mark advises 3Ls on bar application processes, provides individualized academic guidance to 1L and 2L students, and collaborates with faculty on initiatives to enhance bar readiness and professional development programs. He also contributes to developing data-driven systems to track bar exam outcomes and ensuring every student has the resources needed to succeed.
Mark’s academic journey began at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law, where he served as a Staff Editor for the Public Interest Law Journal. Before attending BU for law school, Mark served as a Research Assistant at the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office. In this role, he led the creation of the office’s first public annual report, designed a comprehensive case management system to streamline data reporting, and conducted research on diversion programs and policy initiatives. Mark is passionate about empowering future legal professionals, leveraging his background in research and advising to provide students with the tools and strategies they need to excel in their academic and professional pursuits.
Outside of work, Mark is an avid endurance athlete who enjoys long-distance running and cycling, powerlifting, and exploring new destinations through travel.
