The Women’s Bar Association Honors Pioneering Women of Color
Boston University School of Law is pleased to announce that Aziza Ahmed, Professor of Law and R. Gordon Butler Scholar in International Law, will be honored by the Women of Color Committee of the Women’s Bar Association (WBA) for her contributions as a Pioneering Woman of Color.
Before joining the BU Law faculty in 2022, Professor Ahmed was Professor of Law at the University of California, Irvine and Northeastern University School of Law. Prior to teaching, she was a research associate at the Harvard School of Public Health Program on International Health and Human Rights. Professor Ahmed is the author of the forthcoming book Feminism’s Medicine: Law, Science, and Social Movements in the AIDS Response, and she is co-director of the new BU Program on Reproductive Justice (BUPRJ).
A program and reception celebrating Professor Ahmed and fellow pioneer Payal Salsburg will be held on June 7, 2023, at Foley Hoag LLP.
