First-time donors, the School of Law Advancement Fund Challenge offers you the opportunity to make your gift mean even more. Distinguished alumnus, former board member, and steadfast supporter and friend of BU Law Marvin Goldstein (’69) has generously offered to match gifts from alumni who have not previously donated, dollar for dollar, up to $100,000 over the next five years.

How to Contribute

By making a gift or pledge and helping grow the endowment, you will support this important program and provide a stronger foundation for decades to come as we continue to provide world-class education and training to future classes of students and graduates. To learn more about the challenge or the Fund, please contact Zach Dubin, Associate Dean for Development and Alumni Relations at zdubin@bu.edu or 617-353-7039.

To qualify for this match and have your impact doubled, new donors must make an outright gift of $1,000 or more OR make a multi-year pledge of $5,000 or more. If you have given previously, you may still qualify to have your gift matched if your lifetime giving is less than $500.

About the School of Law Advancement Fund

The School of Law Advancement Fund is an endowed fund that was set up by Mr. Goldstein and Oscar Wasserman (JD’59, LLM’62) in 1995. Dean Onwuachi-Willig is using this fund to help support our Post-Graduate Public Service Fellowship Program. Established in 2010, this program supports exceptional graduating students who secure positions at non-profit organizations and government agencies providing legal assistance to underserved populations. Since 2010, the law school has provided over 100 fellowships at organizations across the country and around the world. Recent placements have been with the National Center for Youth Law, the Center for Reproductive Rights, the Orleans Public Defender, and the Committee for Public Services Counsel’s Innocence Project.
