Boston University School of Law’s Health Law Program Is Rated A+ by The National Jurist

BU Law is proud to share that its Health Law Program has earned a place, and an A+ rating, in The National Jurist preLaw Magazine’s Health Law Honor Roll. This top grade ranks BU Law among the top 17 health law programs included in the list and affirms BU Law’s longstanding leadership in the field. The National Jurist determines its honor roll ratings by evaluating the breadth and depth of each law school’s curricular offerings. The publication’s methodology considers concentrations, clinics, centers, externships, journals, student groups, and certificates, and adds value for expanded opportunities.

“We are thrilled by this A+ ranking of our leading-edge, nearly 70-year-old Health Law Program, a collaboration of the Boston University Schools of Law and Public Health,” shares Laura Stephens, director of and lecturer in the Health Law Program. “This ranking is a tribute to the original scholars and founders of the program, and to our current students and faculty as they build a proud legacy of their own.”

The BU Law Health Law Program offers students exceptional opportunities to gain critical experience and develop expertise both inside and outside the classroom, with a choice of over 40 courses taught by expert faculty, a concentration in health law with six topical areas, extensive experiential learning opportunities, career guidance from practicing Health Law attorneys, and more.

“This ranking is a testament to our faculty, who are leading the health law and public health law fields with their scholarship, testimony before Congress and state legislators, and frequent appearances in major news outlets,” shares Stephens. “It is also a testament to our students and to all the work that they do in our health-law-related courses and outside placements in legal offices for health care organizations, whether in term-time positions through our Health Law Externship Program or in summer placements as Health Law Fellows.”
