Advisor On Call

Our ISSO advising team is available either in-person or virtually to answer your quick questions throughout the business day.

In-Person Advisor-On-Call

Please bring your BUID and your immigration documents.

If you are visiting our office in person, we encourage you to take public transportation or, if you travel by car, to access BU parking or metered street parking as we do not have any specific ISSO parking.

Virtual Advisor-On-Call

Students are encouraged to connect through zoom with an Advisor-On-Call (AOC) from 10am – 4pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday or from 1pm – 4pm on Wednesday.

You will be placed in a virtual waiting room and the AOC will move you into the meeting when they have completed their conversation with the person before you in line. Depending on volume, you may have a wait to speak with the AOC.

You may prefer to schedule an appointment with your ISSO advisor for more complicated case questions.

In an Emergency

If you have an emergency, please call the ISSO at (617)353-3565 and listen to the phone prompts for a staff member who can best assist you. You can reach the ISSO reception if you press 5 during normal ISSO business hours.
