IOC Affiliates to serve on Massachusetts’ Climate Science Advisory Panel

On January 12, 2024, the Healey-Driscoll Administration launched a Climate Science Advisory Panel through the new Massachusetts Office of Climate Science (OCS). These panelists are experts in their field and are invaluable knowledge brokers in Massachusetts who “will advise OCS on the latest advances and applications in climate science.”

Three Initiative on Cities (IOC) affiliates will serve on this panel: Lucy Hutyra, Dan Li, and Patricia Fabian. Dr. Hutyra currently serves as the IOC Urban-H Index Associate Director of Heat and is the former interim Director of the IOC. Dr. Li and Fabian are BU Urbanists whose research has partly been funded by the IOC Early Stage Urban Research Awards.

The IOC congratulates these scholars on their appointment to the Climate Science Advisory Panel, and we are proud to have them as representatives bridging research and practice on climate issues.
