Public Humanities Manager
Annette holds an MFA in Poetry from Boston University and a BA in Postcolonial Studies and Creative Writing from New York University. Her writing can be found in such journals as Consequence Forum, Epiphany Magazine, and 236 Magazine. Annette is the long-time director of the Favorite Poem Project at BU and comes to BUCH along with the FPP as the new Public Humanities Manager. She also teaches intro and advanced writing workshops in Creative Writing.
Prior to BU, Annette worked as a lecturer in English at Istanbul University. Before shifting her focus to the humanities, she was a program manager in Washington, D.C. working in international development where she managed a $70M portfolio focused primarily on food security and climate resilience in West Africa. Annette served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Niger. She is a Robert Pinsky Global Fellow.
