Africa contributes less than 4 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions, yet it faces some of the most severe consequences of the climate crisis — from prolonged droughts and floods to mounting threats to food security, livelihoods, and physical and mental health. This year, the African Studies Center is pleased to offer the Bradford Morse Distinguished Lecture and Walter Rodney Conference as a two-day event (4/16-4/17) that will bring scientists together to engage the public with these crucial issues Following the distinguished lecture by Dr Harrison Charo-Karisa on Thursday April 16th, and two stimulating panels, the Bradford Morse Distinguished Lecture and Walter Rodney seminars will continue on Friday morning, 4/17, featuring a session on Climate Impacts on Human and Ecosystem Health. This conference and lecture are free and open to the public. Registration is required.
