Pedestrian Space
- All Day on Thursday, March 26, 2026
The BU Center for the Humanities (BUCH) is sponsoring a 2-day interdisciplinary symposium using the arts and humanities to re-shape and reflect on our ways of inhabiting, viewing, and caring for everyday pedestrian spaces on our campus, the city of Boston, and the world.
The symposium will include lectures and discussions among mathematicians, art and architectural historians, artists, poets, critics, philosophers, psychologists, and political theorists. On March 26th it will feature a “Lecture in Criticism” by Distinguished Professor Susan Stewart of Princeton, a prestigious event in an annual lecture series run for over 40 years by BUCH.
