XCC Team Wins IDEA Cup

A team of Cross-College Challenge (XCC) students were the winners of the Innovate@BU IDEA Cup Fall 2019, a competition that showcases and funds innovative class projects.  The XCC team’s winning project focused on addressing the increasing concern of food insecurity at BU by proposing the creation of a campus-wide food pantry for all students.

The project was developed in HUB XC 433 D1: Equipping College Students With the Tools to Bring About Social Change, co-taught by Bob Weintraub, Senior Lecturer in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in BU Wheelock, and Samantha Meyers, Master Lecturer in the CAS Writing Program.  Team members included Sarah Bickford (CAS-Psychology), Melani Zuckerman (CAS-Medical Science), and Caroline Stromberg (CAS-Medical Science).
