Congratulations and welcome to the BLT! We are so excited to see all the ways that you grow and build community. This packet will tell you everything you need to know as a member of the BLT.

So… what is the BLT? The BU Jewish Leadership Team (BLT) is a network of 200+ student leaders from all backgrounds and interests who inspire Jewish life across Boston University. The BLT includes:

  • Fellowships/Internships, including Professional Development Fellowship, Care Fellowship, SEED, First-Year Fellowship, Building Bridges, Birthright, and more! For a full list, click here.
  • Starting your own initiative, like a book club, ping-pong tournament, Shabbat bouquet making, basketball fundraisers, or anything else you can imagine! Reach out to a staff member to get started, and click here for more existing projects.

How do I join the BLT? If you are involved in any of our fellowships or internships, or if you’ve started a passion project, congratulations: you are in the BLT!

What are the perks of the BLT? As a BLTer, you have access to an exclusive WhatsApp Group, marketing for events, funding, space, professional headshots, and staff mentorship!

How do I create an experience through the BLT?

  1. Meet with a staff mentor to discuss your idea.
  2. Submit a BLT program request guide at least two weeks before the event.
  3. Submit a BLT Marketing Form once the event has been approved.
  4. Spread the word about your event and check in with your staff mentor leading up to the event.

I was a BLTer last semester. Am I still in the BLT? Yes! You can still access BLT resources even if you are no longer in an internship or fellowship. Look out for an email about ways to continue to be involved, like mentorship or starting an initiative
