Born and raised in New England, Rachel is a recent graduate of Pratt Institute where she received her B.F.A. in Painting, as well as double minors in Museum and Gallery Practices, and Art History. While her personal art practice revolves around abstracted and stylized figurative paintings, Rachel’s research interests are in 18th and 19th century European art. She is also fascinated by the Baroque art period, as well as the figurative Impressionist paintings of artists such as Manet and Renoir. Outside of her studies, Rachel enjoys traveling, painting and growing her record collection.
