MA Student, History of Art & Architecture

Anna Zell recently graduated from the University of Kansas with an Art History major and minor in American Studies. Her area of interest is 18th-century French painting, and she is particularly drawn to periods of political upheaval. She is fascinated by portraiture of Revolutionary leaders that served propagandistic purposes to shape public perception during the French Revolution. Anna has held two internships at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City. Her last summer was spent doing provenance research for the French Paintings catalogue at the Nelson-Atkins.
