Allegra Davis is an MA student with a research focus on 19th-century American sculpture in the transatlantic world, emphasizing the work of women and queer artists. She holds a BA in Classics from Smith College and has more than six years of museum and curatorial experience.
From 2018-2019, after graduating from Smith, Allegra was Curatorial Fellow at Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park in Cornish, New Hampshire. From 2019-2024, she was a member of the curatorial department at Frederic Church’s Olana in Hudson, New York, where her curatorial credits included the exhibition and catalogue “Afterglow: Frederic Church and the Landscape of Memory.”
Allegra is currently a graduate curatorial assistant at the Boston University Art Galleries and a museum assistant at Historic Newton. Born and raised on Cape Cod, Allegra can often be found exploring museums, nature trails, and historic cemeteries.
