Suyang Shi
1) What have you been doing since you graduated from BU?
I’m currently completing my Master of Architecture degree at the University of Pennsylvania and planning to become an architect after graduation.
2) How your time in the department shaped your professional and personal lives?
During my undergraduate studies, I was fortunate enough to participate in the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) under the guidance of Prof. Jan Haenraets to research green spaces and explore urban development initiatives in Srinagar, Kashmir. During this process, I learned and refined my technical skills and understanding of the built environment.
3) Any advice that you would’ve given to your younger self?
I would love to explore and utilize more free resources that are available at BU, also take more graduate level courses that are available to the HAA students.
