Xinchi Wang received a B.A. in History from Beijing Foreign Studies University. Her internship at the Inside-Out Art Museum of China piqued her interest in cross-cultural communication and twentieth-century Chinese Art.
Currently a graduate student, Xinchi specializes in eighteenth-century and nineteenth-century European art, Chinese art, and the art exchange between China and the West. Drawing on her historical background and internship experience, Xinchi is dedicated to investigating the interaction between artists and social-cultural backgrounds. She also focuses on the exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations in the context of globalization, and how individuals construct cultural identities and form their perceptions of themselves and others.
