Guest Lecture- February 17, Dr. Danielle Carrabino

portraitofcaravaggioPlease join us on Wednesday, February 17th for a lecture by Dr. Danielle Carrabino, Associate Research Curator of European Art at the Harvard Art Museums.

Dr. Carrabino, a specialist in Italian Renaissance and Baroque art history, will be speaking about her current book project on Caravaggio in Sicily.  Dr. Carrabino holds degrees from the College of William and Mary, Tufts University, and the Courtauld Institute of Art, and has spent a number of years living and working in Italy, including teaching at the University of Georgia Studies Abroad Program in Cortona.  At the Harvard Art Museums, Dr. Carrabino has recently curated the exhibition “Beyond Bosch:  The Afterlife of a Renaissance Master in Print,” on view during spring 2016. 

Dr. Carrabino’s talk is entitled
Caravaggio’s Raising of Lazarus:  the Lazzari, the Crociferi and the Hope of Salvation
