Camp Terrier Dance Arts: Video

Ages 8 – 12

Fees: Member – $555, Non-Member – $675

In this one-week program, the focus will be on creating video dances that can be shared with families. Technique classes in Hip Hop, Jazz, and Contemporary will have students honing their skills. While some choreography will be created by our teachers, students will have a chance to make up their own dances and record them. Campers will enjoy daily recreational swim, games, gym time, and a lesson on the climbing wall. Unlike the two-week sessions, we won’t have guest artists or a final informal showing, but recordings of the dances will be shared with families for viewing at home.

Camp Terrier  Dance Arts: Performance

Ages 8 – 12

Fees: Member – $1,110, Non-Member – $1,350

Our two-week dance camps are for dancers of all levels who want to learn in a fun and supportive environment. Students will hone their technical dance skills, work with our teachers to create original choreography, and improve their performance skills for the culminating dance concert on the final day. On the first day, we’ll have a placement class: factors such as campers’ ability, age, interests, and experience will help us arrange group classes. Campers will have daily classes in Ballet, Contemporary/Modern, Yoga/Stretch, and Jazz/Hip Hop. Our program includes special classes with guest artists in other styles of dance, such as Zumba, West African, and Making Dances (composition). Recreational swim is offered daily with other fun activities planned including time on the rock wall, gym time, games, and arts & crafts projects.

Family and friends are invited to the informal performance on the final day of each session in the BU Dance Theater.
