Parking
Parking in the City of Boston, and on the Boston University campus, is very limited. All parking lots on campus are operated by BU Transportation Services. For information on rates and availability, contact at 617-353-2160 (Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm).
If you do need to drive, here are some nearby parking options:
Street Parking
City of Boston metered parking is available along Commonwealth Avenue.
Town of Brookline street parking is available according to hours posted on street signs.
Permit Parking
On non-event dates, Lot A will be available to BU employees with valid Green and Red permits or with Medical Campus daytime permits (Gold Stickers) on a space-available basis. Evening permits for the Charles River Campus and the Medical Campus will both be honored after 4 pm.
Non-Permit Parking
On non-event dates, the Agganis Arena parking garage (Lot A) will be available to Fitness & Recreation Center members and visitors for a validated rate of $2 per hour for up to 3 hours. Stays over 3 hours will revert to the posted garage rates based upon member or visitor’s length of stay.
To take advantage of the validated rate, bring your parking ticket with you to the Fitness & Recreation Center. Before exiting and prior to returning to the garage, insert your parking ticket into the validator (located inside the turnstile area of the Fitness & Recreation Center) to encode the validation on your parking ticket. Please see the Front Desk staff if any questions or issues arise. Then take your ticket with you for use at Parking Pay Stations located within the garage. Please note that once your ticket is validated, you must immediately return to the garage to pay for your parking.
Please note that the “up to 3 hour” validation time limit begins from the time your ticket is dispensed from the parking entry kiosk (displayed on your parking ticket) and ends at the time of payment at a parking pay station (not at the parking validator).
