One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned through dance at BU is that stepping out of my comfort zone is something to embrace, not fear. As a dance minor and member of Dance Theatre Group, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to explore a wide range of dance styles, many of which both intrigue and intimidate me.
Each week in Dance Theatre Group, we take master classes led by BU faculty with diverse backgrounds. From ballroom to breaking, and Afro-Caribbean to heels, I feel like I’ve tried it all. What continues to surprise me is that the classes I’m most nervous about are always the most fun! The greatest thing I have learned is to give it your all.
Get involved in the dance opportunities offered at BU! You can take dance classes at BU over the summer, ranging from aerial silks, ballet, pilates, and more. It is so great to see our community grow and meet dancers from all backgrounds.
