Boston University’s Dance Theatre Group (DTG) is excited to present MOTION ART 2023, a Spring Dance Concert in collaboration with the BU Dance Department, on October 26 at 8:30 PM. The event will be hosted in the 808 Gallery at 855 Commonwealth Ave Boston, MA. Motion Art is a collaborative, site-specific performance of dancers, singers, artists, and musicians that highlights the power of overlapping forms of art. It will feature guests and performances from a variety of student art-makers at BU from both student groups and classes. In an interdisciplinary display of the talent and creativity of BU students & Boston-based artists, MOTION ART 2023 will include:
• The Dear Abbeys, Boston University’s premiere all-male acapella group
• Suno, Boston University’s premiere South Asian/Western Fusion acapella group
• Bulletproof Funk, Boston University’s premiere breaking & street dance group
• Afrithms, Boston University’s premiere African dance troupe
• Annie Lin, Chinese Traditional Dance soloist
• Excerpts from Visions 2023, a Dance Theatre Group Concert
• Dance Theatre Group Structured Improvisation, led by Erin McNulty
• The Boston Printmakers 2023 North American Print Biennial
• A line dance lesson led by the President of DTG and friends
• Diverse performances, ranging from traditional to experimental, abstract to thematic, and light-hearted to contemplative
