State Grants

Many state governments offer grants for college expenses, and some allow their grant awards to be used at colleges and universities outside your state of residence. If you’re a resident of one of the states listed below, we encourage you to apply for these funds. You must file the FAFSA to be considered for state grants.

Massachusetts Gilbert Grant

Funded by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and offered by Boston University to Massachusetts residents. To qualify, you must meet financial need and other eligibility requirements established by the Commonwealth.

Massachusetts Part-Time Grant

Funded by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and awarded by Boston University to Massachusetts residents. To qualify, you must enroll on a part-time basis and meet financial need and other eligibility requirements established by the Commonwealth.

Other State Scholarships and Grants

Provided by the states listed below for eligible residents. To qualify, you must meet enrollment, financial need, and any other criteria established by your state of legal residence.
