EU Law and the Politics of Change: Reimagining the Market – A Lecture by Marija Bartl. Bartl is associate professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Amsterdam. Her research focuses on the democratic implications of market integration beyond the state.

Discussants:

Christine Desan, Leo Gottlieb Professor of Law, Harvard Law School. Prof. Desan teaches about the international monetary system, the constitutional law of money, constitutional history, political economy, and legal theory.

Sheila Jasanoff, Pforzheimer Professor of Science and Technology Studies, Harvard Kennedy School. Prof. Jasanoff's work explores the role of science and technology in the law, politics, and policy of modern democracies.

Duncan Kennedy, Carter Professor of General Jurisprudence, Harvard Law School. Prof. Kennedy's publications have contributed to legal and social theory, the history of legal thought, legal semiotics, law and economics, contract law, and legal education.

Fernanda Nicola, Professor of Law at the Washington College of Law, American University and Director of the Program on International Organizations Law and Diplomacy. Prof. Nicola's research and teaching interests are in European Union Law, Tort Law, Comparative Law and Local Government Law.

Quinn Slobodian, Associate Professor of History, Wellesley College. Prof. Slobodian is a historian of modern German and international history with a focus on North-South politics, social movements, and the intellectual history of neoliberalism.
