The State of France: A Roundtable Discussion with Phillipe Aghion, Jean Schere, and Vivien Schmidt

The Department of Political Science and the Center for the Study of Europe present a roundtable on the state of France. A period of deep anxiety about low economic growth and high unemployment has preceded the worries about divisions in French society highlighted by the recent terrorist attacks.
Speakers are Phillippe Aghion, the very distinguished economist and adviser to President Hollande; Jean Schere, Visiting Researcher in the Department of Political Science; and Vivien Schmidt, Jean Monnet Professor of European Integration and Director of the Center for the Study of Europe.
