Laboratory Attire Reminder

A friendly reminder, it is important to wear the appropriate laboratory attire especially as the weather is warming up. Please ensure the basic attire is worn in all laboratories  such as close-toed shoes, full-length pants and clothing apparel that cover the skin past the knees when coming to the lab. Along with the basic proper attire, please remember to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) according to your laboratory’s safety requirements. Required PPE is specified on the laboratory door placard that is based on the laboratory profile in BioRaft. Please ensure the BioRaft profile is up to date (i.e. lab personnel, lab hazards, chemical inventories, etc.). It is important to follow the safety practices and procedures identified in any lab specific SOPs, the Boston University (BU) Personal Protection Equipment in the Laboratory Policy , Chemical Hygiene Plan and Biosafety Manual. Please contact your Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Designated Safety Advisor (DSA) if you have any questions.
