Jonathan “Jon” White serves as the Associate Director of Disability & Access Services. He holds a B.A. in Classics and an M.A. in Anthropology (both from the University at Albany, SUNY) and is a PhD candidate in Anthropology at the University at Buffalo, SUNY.
Prior to coming to Boston, Jon was Assistant Director for Alternative Testing and Assistive Technology (AT-AT) of Disability Access and Inclusion Student Services (DAISS) at the University at Albany and served as an adjunct instructor, guest lecturer, and teaching assistant at the University at Buffalo. Through these roles, and as a result of being a student with disabilities himself, Jon has gained a detailed understanding of the disabled experience at both the graduate and undergraduate levels at a major research university. Jon has professional experience with many facets of disability services, from assistive technology to testing management to strategy coaching. A trained archaeologist, Jon has also served as a consultant to field excavations regarding accommodations for disabled archaeologists and archaeology students.
Outside of the office, Jon has no spare time, as he is working on his doctoral dissertation, which focuses on people with disabilities in the ancient world.
