David Zamojski serves as Senior Associate Dean of Students at Boston University, where he provides strategic leadership in student affairs and plays a central role in shaping the student experience. Over the course of his career, he has held key positions, including Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Residence Life, and has contributed meaningfully to both Residence Life and Student Activities. His work has consistently focused on fostering student leadership, engagement, and community.

David’s professional interests include program development; the recruitment, selection, and training of professional and paraprofessional staff; and the creation of inclusive, vibrant living-learning environments. He is deeply committed to cultivating a campus culture where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to thrive.

A steward of university traditions, David serves as Head of University Marshals, leading a team of staff in supporting institutional ceremonies such as Matriculation, Commencement, and Presidential Inaugurations. His leadership ensures that these events are both meaningful and memorable for students, families, and the broader university community. He also contributes to institutional governance through service on several committees, including the Bias Review Team, the University Council Committee on Student Life & Policies, the Security Council, and the Scarlet Key Committee.

David’s contributions to higher education have been recognized nationally. In 2020, he was named a NASPA Pillar of the Profession—one of the association’s highest honors—acknowledging his significant impact on the field of student affairs. He has served two terms on both the NASPA Board of Directors and the NASPA Foundation Board of Directors. At Boston University, he has received the Honorary Scarlet Key Award for his enduring influence on student life and was named a Distinguished Member of the university’s chapter of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

David earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he enjoys yoga, reading, travel, and the arts. Across all aspects of his work, he remains dedicated to building a welcoming, inclusive, and dynamic environment where students can grow and succeed.
