Following her time at Boston University, Mary began her career as a middle and high school English teacher in Oakland, CA. Mary has extensive experience in education policy and has led national advocacy that resulted in policies and funding dedicated to improving children and families' well-being and quality of education. Mary is the Founder of Live Curious LLC and speaks, writes, and coaches people on why and how to cultivate our curiosity for a life of greater meaning and impact. Mary has a Master of Public Policy from Duke University, a B.A. from Boston University, and a Certificate in Design Thinking for Innovation from the University of Virginia. She lives in Maryland with her family and very big dog, and she enjoys running, reading, writing, traveling, going on curiosity adventures, and spending time with friends and family.
