Research on Tap: Global Security in an Interconnected World
- Starts: 4:00 pm on Tuesday, September 16, 2025
- Ends: 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 16, 2025
From climate change and nuclear weapons to migration and global health, today’s global security challenges stretch across borders — and academic silos. This Research on Tap event brings together scholars from across the BU community to engage in an important and timely conversation about the future of global security.
Amid a rapidly evolving global landscape, speakers will explore new questions about the nature of security today. For example, how do climate change, migration, and global health intersect with traditional security concerns? What can we learn by examining these issues across disciplines or through new forms of collaboration?
As scholarship and teaching on global security gain momentum at Boston University, this Research on Tap will showcase the breadth of faculty expertise on pressing global challenges. By drawing on diverse perspectives, the event aims to deepen our understanding of what security means in an interconnected world, spark vital conversations, and plant the seeds for future collaboration.
