Cinematheque - An Evening with Eggert Ketilsson

Join us for a screening of Dunkirk (2017) followed by a Q&A with Supervising Art Director Eggert Ketilsson. The event will be hosted by Associate Professor of the Practice Tunji Akinsehinwa. Eggert Ketilsson has worked in the film industry since 1989, beginning his career with the Icelandic Broadcasting Service before going on to work on Icelandic feature films and TV series for a decade. After earning a post-graduate degree in Production Design from Northern Film School in Leeds, United Kingdom, he has worked on numerous US, UK, and Icelandic feature films and television shows as an Art Director, Production Designer, and Special Effects Supervisor. He has worked with director Christopher Nolan on multiple films, including Batman Begins, Interstellar, Dunkirk, and Tenet. His other credits include multiple films within the Star Wars universe, Transformers: The Last Knight, and “True Detective.” Ketilsson is currently working on the upcoming film The Entertainment System is Down, directed by Ruben Östlund.
