Student-Faculty Forum: Religion, Spirituality and Politics – April 10

What is the connection between religion and politics? Listen for a few minutes to the claims people make and you will hear that this religion makes people wonderful, generous people, or that one turns people into terrorists. There are plenty of examples of people making conservative or liberal or reactionary or revolutionary political claims and advocacy on the basis of their understanding of their religious principles.

So how do the connections work? Join us as we explore the nuances surrounding religion and politics at our latest Student-Faculty Forum on Wednesday, April 10, 2019. This event takes place in the Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground (775 Commonwealth Avenue, Basement) from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Appetizers and refreshments will be served.
