Meet a Witness To Change at the Howard Thurman Center this Thursday

This Thursday night, Sybil Haydel Morial, former First Lady of New Orleans and graduate of Boston University’s School of Education in 1952 and 1955, will be visiting the Howard Thurman Center from 6-8pm.

In a conversation moderated by School of Education Dean Hardin Coleman, Mrs. Morial will discuss her new memoir, Witness to Change: from Jim Crow to Political Empowerment, and host an official book signing.

Mrs. Morial has outstanding first hand insights of the Civil Rights Movement, and also speaks on the lasting impact of Hurricane Katrina on the New Orleans community.

The Dean of Students office is proud to partner with the Howard Thurman Center to bring the distinguished Mrs. Morial back to Commonwealth Avenue!
