Student Spotlight; Kristina Shah, CAS ’17
by Elizabeth Wong, CGS ’18
Meet Kristina Shah! Kristina is a sophomore in CAS majoring in Behavior Biology. Kristina’s favorite thing about BU, being a Pre-Med student, is that it is in the mecca of great hospitals and research facilities. Boston struck the perfect balance of distance and comfort from her small town home in New Jersey; not too far, but not too close, not too loud, but not too calm.
Kristina is on the executive board as a Public Relations Chair for the BU India Club. BU India Club is the largest student run organizations on campus. Each semester they host a cultural show that showcases several dance and acapella teams that are under the BU India club, as well as individual acts and a fashion show to promote their culture. They also host community service events, a formal, and host games among the club members. Currently, there is an intense game of assassins going on around campus!
Kristina is an athlete on the BU Figure Skating Club. She competed throughout her high school career. As a freshman, she knew she wanted to be part of BU’s competitive, nationally ranked figure skating team. This year Kristina and her team competed at MIT, Virginia, and most recently in Delaware where they qualified for Nationals coming up in California!
Fun Fact: Kristina started skating at the age of 3!
