Escalation Viewing — October 28, 2014
I hope I could have a moment of your time — actually, an hour.
This start of school to me was beauty — beauty in work, and conversations. I am full of gratitude for having shared so richly in it. These last five weeks have been full of happiness and productivity. I have been able to spend significant time thinking about the large societal issue of best ways to address sexual assault within our communities.
Each day, I spend time reviewing public service announcements, videos, and other material that educates about issues of sexual violence, interpersonal violence, gender discrimination, and stalking. I review these materials in order to consider whether to distribute them within our community. I’d like a moment of your time to review a movie that I believe is effective in educating the University community about the signs of sexual and interpersonal violence. Next Tuesday, October 28 at 6pm in CGS 511, we’ll have the opportunity to watch the One Love Foundation’s movie “Escalation.” Immediately following the movie, via a moderated discussion, we’d like to get your thoughts.
I hope you, or a friend might have about an hour to spend time with us and to share your thoughts. Please reply to let me know if you can join us.
Peace.
