What’s Going on Under Warren Towers?
by Tom Honsinger, Dean of Students Marketing and Strategic Communications Assistant
It was just one of those mornings: after pressing snooze 10 times, I only had 30 minutes before I had to be at work. I don’t know about you, but in these situations I move faster than I thought was possible at 6 a.m. I showered, got dressed and ran out the door in record time. I had a few more minutes than expected, so I thought I would treat myself to an iced coffee. When I got to the Warren Towers Starbucks I was surprised to see that it was closed and the store was gutted – my morning was ruined (dramatic, I know, but that’s how I felt in the moment). I headed to work without my coffee; I’m sure you can imagine how cheerful I was.
So what happened to my precious source of morning energy? I found out, thanks to a BU Today article. The Starbucks, Subway and Bank of America ATM are closed for the summer for some updates. Starbucks is being remodeled and Subway is moving inside of City Convenience. For those Dunkin’ Donuts lovers who don’t want to go to Kenmore or West Campus, you’re in luck – there will be a Dunkin’ counter in CityCo as well. The upgrades are to be completed by the fall, so you can look forward to having three coffee options (and more morning energy) under Warren Towers.
