Constitution Day – September 17, 2013
September 17th is recognized as Constitution Day, the day the U.S. Constitutional Convention ratified the Constitution in 1787. We recognize this day at BU in many ways, and hope you will take the time to discuss these important articles and amendments.
Some Constitution involved programs around campus include:
Student Activities is holding their BU LEADS conference on Saturday, September 21st, which will discuss issues of social action and involvement.
The Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center will be holding a talk on Surveillance & Espionage by governments on Tuesday, September 24th.
The School of Law will be holding their Constitution Day lecture on DNA collection and the 4th Amendment on Thursday, September 26th.
You can also pick up a U.S. Constitution bookmark in the Dean of Students office on the third floor of the GSU through the end of the month. We also encourage you to test your Constitution knowledge by taking the Washington Post’s Constitution Day Quiz.
