Class of 2011 – So Much to Do, So Little Time

As our new alumni (Class of 2010) fly away, our up and coming alumni – members of the Class of 2011 – are thinking about the future.  I ran into Amy, Allison, John, Jay Jay, Amanda, and Tim, playing darts and lounging at a local watering hole, and asked them to think ahead: in addition to completing coursework an remaining intellectually challenged, what did they want to do before graduation day, next year? They put their thinking caps on and created – on the back of a napkin – a Senior’s personal bucket list:

1.    Float in the FitRec’s lazy river and lounge in the nearby hot tub
2.    Re-enact the TV series “Friends” Intro, in COM Fountain
3.    Have a game of roller keg
4.    Try a little Jello Twister (ask Amy about this)
5.    Visit the Observatory in CAS
6.    Go to the BU Experience
7.    Recreate the “Legends of the Hidden Temple” game with other Seniors
8.    Break the Slip n’ slide record
9.    Slip n’ slide on BU beach
10.    Camp on BU Beach
11.    Take a Fenway tour
12.    See the campus from the roof of CAS
13.    Get onto Dean Elmore’s Blog [check that one off!]
14.    Imbibe in a beer at Cheers [the Bull & Finch Pub]
15.    Find and check out the “Real World Boston” house

This list sparked Jay Jay and John into some additional thinking – isn’t this a great list for all seniors, perhaps a hyped up list for creating Senior Week activities.  What do you plan to do before May 2011? What should every member of the BU Class of 2011 do before graduation?  Let’s hear from you and let’s hope the folks planning next year’s activities for Seniors are listening and reading.

With love, Alex S. put together a small bucket list trek that you can try via SCVNGR.  (Word is there’s even a special BU 2011 badge for the taking.) As you’re getting ready for tonight’s festivities, try to beat me on the trek.

Complete the trek and I’ll enter you into a drawing.  Winner gets 2 tickets to each Senior Week event.

Peace.

PS – I cribbed this from a previous post — old stuff was just good.
