Again, Students Change My Life

Can’t let the day go without some recognition. I often wonder how best to pay tribute to courage.  Courage that made it possible for me to live free.  Today reminds us of more acts of courage by young folk. The went to speak out against an invasion and found the need to stand their ground – and they did.

The lives of four college students changed mine.  What tribute is due?

Still remember, in church, how the old folk used to stand in a line, put their fists in with smalls of their backs, push out their chests, and, sing – with an intimidating pride – “Don’t you let nobody turn you ‘round! Ain’t gonna let nobody turn us ‘round!” What will make me stand in place? What are the issues of our time that will dare me to turn and run? Tribute?

Peace.
